Venetian Light: A Collection Takes Shape

As we count down the days to Bridal Market in New York we wanted to share a behind the scenes look at how a collection takes shape.

A year ago we put together ”The Gown Unveiled” which dealt primarily with the life of one gown from start to finish, showing how it was designed and literally constructed in our workroom. This video has a slightly more personal take—it shows how a collection develops from my ideas and influences, and how that is molded into the final pieces that make the cut. It’s about taking inspiration from life, the same way one would in art, but applying it to fashion. It is about the collection as a whole and the creativity that sparks it. Enjoy!

Lovely in Liancarlo: Winnie

What better way to continue Valentine’s week than a real love story. After 10 years together Winnie married her best friend Wallen on October 14, 2012 in Oakland, California. The couple was married at the Mills College Chapel followed by a reception at East Ocean in Alameda. “We ended up having one of the best days of our lives that day. We often look back and dream about our wedding. We have so many fond memories and laughter from our wedding day!”

The beautiful bride was married in an Alencon lace sweetheart mermaid gown in ivory (Style 5803). We loved working with Winnie and were very touched when she told us the following: “I cannot stress how thankful I am to have had you as my designer. I love my wedding dress and how perfect it fit me! I cannot wait to wear it again during our 10 year wedding anniversary. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU.”

Thank you Winnie! We wish you and Wallen a lifetime of love.

Ever wonder what goes into the making of a Liancarlo gown? Well we decided to open our doors and let you have an inside look at our design process from designer, Carlos Ramirez’s initial inspiration to the final fitting. We wanted to give you the chance to see what it is that makes our gowns unique and to appreciate the artistry that goes into creating each individual gown.
